Stop Asking
One of the most underrated advice you might never get is to 'Stop asking'.
We've all been there - stuck at a given task or assignment, hesitant to take the next step, all because of an innocent question that throws us off track. Sometimes, we ask questions seeking honest opinions or valid reasoning, but more often than not, it doesn't achieve the purpose at heart.
Let me share a personal story. I had a vision that seemed daunting, even scary, given my limited view at the time. I decided to share it with someone, asking, "What do you think about it?" The response was a game-changer, altering my perspective and propelling me forward. But here's the thing - sometimes, the response you get is not what you need; what you need is to motivate yourself.
The truth is, you're not always asking the right people. You're seeking validation, seeking permission, or seeking a way out. But what you really need is a strong mental picture that keeps you standing, that pushes you to take the leap.
This isn't a post encouraging you to go solo, navigating life's challenges alone. Far from it. What it means is that you need to be discerning about who you ask, about when you ask, and about what you ask. Sometimes, the first step isn't to ask; it's to forge ahead, to dive in headfirst, and ask questions later, when your legs are already in deep, and you have no choice but to keep going.
Think about it - when you're about to take a leap of faith, do you really need someone else's opinion, or do you need the courage to trust yourself? The next time you're faced with a daunting task, ask yourself: what's holding me back? Is it fear, or is it the need for validation? Take that first step, and let momentum carry you forward.
